Conor Dillon

Conor Dillon

Co-founder

One of the founders of Spread the Swell, Conor was introduced to surfing at the tender age of four by his father, a surfer himself. He fell in love with the ocean and never looked back. As you can see in his picture, he’s known for his uncanny ability to always wear a wetsuit due to how quickly he gets cold out in the water, even in the heat of the summer.

Another founder of Spread the Swell, Liam was also an early learner. By four he was popping-up, and by seven he was riding down the line. Can be spotted with his retro fish and favorite VonZipper Sunglasses. Known for his laid-back style and love of all things to do with the ocean.

Jack Dillon

Jack Dillon

Co-founder

The final founder of Spread the Swell, Jack was built for the ocean. He has too many stories of him in the ocean to count, and he’s barely even a teenager. Let us not forget that he stood up on a surfboard for the first time at age three, which has certainly translated to his success in surfing thus far. The first of our polar bears, Jack can and will stay in the water all day, without a wetsuit.

A member of the staff from the beginning, Connor calls Montauk home in the summer, but graces us with his prescence for Spread the Swell. When he’s not in the water, he can be found doing flips off bridges or filming other ridiculous stunts of his own creation with a GoPro. Celebrated for his nonstop "one more wave" attitude that will tire out the Energizer Bunny.

The only true Rhode Island local of the bunch, Baylor spends the most time in the water out of the instructors, and it shows. He‘ll surf anything that’s rideable and rips his beater unlike anyone else. Has a mean backside arsenal that he puts on display any time he’s not flying down the line on steep rights or body surfing with his GoPro.

An instructor that we had only part-time this year due to his commitment to his "real sport," baseball, Nick is a freak of an athlete who showcases it in his power surfing. It‘s no wonder he’s considered the other polar bear of the group, staying in the water hours on end, and it pays off. Known best for his never-ending jokes and impeccable Rhode Island accent.

With us for the first time this past year, Tommy and his 6’6" frame are hard to miss out in the water. Boards that fit, just like clothing, however, are hard to come by. Likewise, the intangibles that he brings to Spread the Swell are tough to find anywhere else. Relatively new to surfing compared to the rest of the gang, Tommy still makes it seem second-nature out in the water.
